Decadent chocolate brownies swirled with dulce de leche and caramel.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • cooking spray
  • 1 (1 ounce) square dark chocolate, chopped
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup dulce de leche
  • 2 tablespoons caramel dessert topping, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Melt butter in a double boiler over simmering water. Stir in chocolate until smooth and well combined. Remove from heat.
  • Mix white sugar, brown sugar, flour, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt into the melted chocolate until combined. Gently fold in eggs using a spoon or spatula, limiting to 30-40 strokes.
  • Spread just over half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spoon small dollops of dulce de leche evenly on top. Use a knife to create swirls through the dulce de leche. Pour the rest of the brownie batter on top. Drizzle caramel in a decorative swirling pattern over the top.
  • Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake until the edges subtly separate from the sides, about 25 to 30 minutes. Ensure the brownies are completely cooled before cutting into squares.
