Delicious Dutch Baby pancake with sweet applesauce, butter, confectioners' sugar, and streusel for a tasty brunch treat.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup Mott's® Original Applesauce
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter, divided
  • 0.66666668653488 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) for a perfect bake.
  • In a small saucepan, warm the applesauce over medium heat until just hot. Transfer the applesauce to a blender. Add the eggs and blend briefly for about 5 seconds until combined. Incorporate vanilla, sugar, salt, and flour, blending until well mixed. Pour in two tablespoons of melted butter and blend for another 30 seconds.
  • Preheat oven-proof skillet on medium heat. Swirl in a generous tablespoon of melted butter to coat bottom and sides of the pan. Quickly pour in the batter and transfer to the middle rack in the oven.
  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the pancake is puffed.
  • Evenly coat the pancake with the final tablespoon of melted butter. Optionally, sprinkle powdered sugar on top to taste.
  • In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Add butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle this delicious topping over the Dutch Baby just before serving hot.
