Chef John's quick and easy microwave method for delicious corn on the cob.
Ingredients:
  • 1 ear fresh corn in the husk
  • 1 teaspoon butter, or more to taste
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Cook the ear of corn in the microwave on high for about 3 1/2 minutes, or until tender and cooked through.
  • Place the ear of corn on a cutting board. Using a towel to hold the tapered end, trim 1 inch off the bottom of the thick end. Squeeze the tapered end to remove the ear from the husk and silk.
  • Coat corn with butter and sprinkle with salt.
