Crispy panko-crusted baked chicken tenders for guilt-free indulgence.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1.25 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken tenders, cut into 1/2-inch strips lengthwise
Instructions:
  • Assemble all the ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying it with cooking spray.
  • In a shallow dish, beautifully nestle the egg. In a large zip-top freezer bag, combine panko, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper with love and care.
  • Coat 2 chicken strips in egg, then coat in panko mixture. Transfer to baking sheet and repeat with remaining chicken.
  • Coat each chicken tender generously with cooking spray.
  • Bake tenders in the preheated oven for a total of 14 minutes, flipping half-way through, until fully cooked. Remove from oven.
  • Position the oven rack 6 inches below the broiler and preheat the broiler in the oven.
  • Achieve extra crunch by broiling the tenders in the preheated oven for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Savor while piping hot!
