Try out these delicious baked chicken burgers on croissants topped with Swiss cheese and mushrooms for a tasty twist!
Ingredients:
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 pounds ground chicken
  • 0.5 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 0.25 cup dry French onion soup mix
  • 4 ounces bacon, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 6 croissants, halved and toasted
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, halved and cooked
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Mix together ground chicken, bread crumbs, and soup mix in a spacious mixing bowl.
  • In a food processor, blitz 4 ounces of bacon until finely chopped, then combine it with the ground chicken mixture. Shape the mixture into 6 patties and lay them on a baking sheet. Chill in the freezer for 12 minutes to set.
  • Bake patties in a preheated oven for 8 minutes. Lower the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and cook until golden brown, fully cooked, and reaching an internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), approximately 12 more minutes.
  • Heat a sauté pan over medium heat, melt butter, then add onion and mushrooms. Cook until softened, for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Create delicious chicken burgers by placing a chicken patty on each croissant, then layer with Swiss cheese, crispy bacon, and the flavorful onion mushroom mixture. Enjoy right away.
