Quick and delicious broiled steaks with a sweet balsamic marinade for a perfect char and amazing flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 pounds (four 6-ounce) sirloin, ribeye, or strip steaks, about 1 inch thick
Instructions:
  • Whisk together the marinade ingredients in a small bowl or jar: vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, pepper, coriander, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  • For a flavorful marination, snugly fit the steaks into a gallon zip-top bag or lidded container. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring even coating on all sides. Seal the bag or container tightly after squeezing out excess air. Refrigerate for 2 to 24 hours.
  • Preheat your oven broiler to its highest setting, typically around 550°F, positioning the oven rack 4 to 6 inches below. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Pat the steaks dry with paper towels to remove excess marinade before placing them on the baking sheet.
  • Broil the steaks for 4 to 6 minutes per side, aiming for an internal temperature of around 130°F for medium-rare to medium doneness. Use a digital thermometer to check. If needed, adjust cooking time or oven rack position accordingly to ensure even cooking.
  • Rest and Plate: Place the steaks on a cutting board for 5-7 minutes to rest. Then serve with your favorite side. Enjoy! If you loved the recipe, please leave us a rating and comment below!
