Indulge in decadent caramel nut rolls made with corn syrup, cinnamon, and topped with creamy frosting - a delightful treat for the whole family.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup pecan halves, if desired
  • 1 bag (36.5 oz) frozen cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting (12 rolls)
Instructions:
  • In a 1-quart saucepan, bring the brown sugar and butter to a boil while stirring. Remove from heat and mix in the corn syrup and whipping cream. Bring it back to a boil, then let it cool for 5 minutes before using.
  • Coat a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. Evenly spread the caramel mixture over the bottom of the pan and sprinkle with pecans.
  • Arrange the frozen rolls in a neat grid of 4 rows by 3 rows on top of the caramel-pecan mixture. Ensure to cover them with a generously sprayed plastic wrap. Save the frosting packet for future use.
  • Chill the rolls in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours, or ideally overnight, to allow the dough to rise.
  • Two and three-quarter hours before serving, take the rolls out of the refrigerator and set the pan on a cooling rack. Allow the rolls to rise at room temperature for about two hours until they nearly double in size (rising time may vary based on kitchen temperature).
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Unwrap rolls with care. Cover pan with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until rolls are golden brown. Invert a heatproof plate over the pan immediately after baking, then flip the pan and plate together. Let the pan rest over the rolls for 1 minute before removing. Serve the rolls warm.
