Easy cheese straws

Ingredients:
  • 150 g unsalted butter (cold)
  • 225 g plain flour
  • 75 g Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika plus extra for sprinkling over
Instructions:
  • - Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/gas mark 6 and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. - Cube the butter and place it in a bowl. Mix in the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. - Finely grate Parmesan and add 60g to the mixture along with mustard and paprika. - Stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of cold water until the dough comes together. - Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1cm thickness, then slice into 1cm sticks. - Sprinkle the remaining cheese and a bit more paprika over the sticks. - Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
