Time-tested party cake loved by all for over five decades. A must-have for any celebration.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Prepare the chocolate cake as instructed on the box. Once baked, use a fork to make holes all over the warm cake. While the cake is baking, make the fudge sauce.
  • To make the fudge sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then stir in sugar, cocoa, and cream until boiling. Boil for 2 minutes, remove from heat, add vanilla, and pour over warm cake. Top with chopped walnuts and serve with ice cream, if desired.
