Elevate your Betty Crocker™ sugar cookie mix with baking chocolate for irresistible chocolate sugar cookies. Just 6 ingredients and 15 minutes prep time. Finish by rolling in powdered sugar for a decadent touch.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine cookie mix, cocoa, softened butter, water, and egg in a large bowl. Mix with a spoon until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll the dough into 36 (1 1/4-inch) balls, coat them with powdered sugar, and arrange them 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake until tops are cracked and edges are set, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cool for 1 minute on the cookie sheet, then transfer to a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely for about 20 minutes. For extra sweetness, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
