Whisked egg whites, cream cheese, and cream of tartar baked to create cloud bread, a light and gluten-free bread alternative.
Ingredients:
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 0.25 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, very soft
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Whisk egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form in a bowl.
  • Combine egg yolks, cream cheese, and sugar in a bowl, smoothly blend using wooden spoon and hand-held egg beater. Carefully fold in egg whites, being careful not to deflate them.
  • Scoop mixture onto prepared baking sheet, shaping into 5 to 6 "buns" with care.
  • Bake the cloud bread in the preheated oven until it turns a lovely golden brown, which should take around 30 minutes.
