Festive eggnog bread is infused with vanilla and rum extracts, perfect for Christmas brunch or holiday gifts.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons rum flavored extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease the bottom of a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Combine eggnog, sugar, butter, eggs, rum extract, and vanilla in a large bowl and blend until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Add this mixture to the eggnog mixture and stir until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before wrapping tightly in plastic wrap or foil and refrigerating.
