Irresistibly sweet and gooey monkey bread with candied bacon, perfect balance of salty and sweet flavors. Easy and delicious treat!
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons caramel instant pudding mix, uncooked
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 (16.3 ounce) cans refrigerated biscuit dough, separated and cut into quarters
  • 12 slices bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.75 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) while liberally coating a 9-inch fluted tube pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine white sugar, pudding mix, and cinnamon in a 1-gallon resealable plastic bag. Add quartered biscuits and shake until coated. Add bacon, shake well, then transfer biscuits to the tube pan. Keep any leftover sugar-cinnamon mixture from the bag.
  • 1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add dark brown sugar, maple syrup, and salt. Boil the mixture until it foams, about 1 minute. 2. Stir in the reserved sugar-cinnamon mixture until dissolved, around 2 to 3 minutes. 3. Pour the melted sugar mixture over the biscuits in the tube pan.
  • Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes until puffed up and fully cooked. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before flipping onto a serving plate.
