Try this easy and refreshing homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream for a decadent treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 3 drops green food coloring
  • 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Combine milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, peppermint extract, and salt in a large bowl until the sugar dissolves, then swirl in the green food coloring for a festive touch.
  • Transfer the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • After 10 minutes of freezing, sprinkle in a generous amount of chocolate chips. Keep churning until the ice cream reaches a thick consistency, for about 20 more minutes.
  • Place in an airtight container and freeze until solid, approximately 2 hours.
