Delicious coconut and date cake cut into chewy squares – a delightful homemade treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 0.25 cup flaked coconut
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a cozy 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and prepare a 9-inch square pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • Combine flour, 1 cup coconut, dates, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl. Melt butter, golden syrup, and vanilla in a saucepan. Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients. Mix until crumbly, then press into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in a warm oven for 20 to 30 minutes, then generously sprinkle the top with 2 tablespoons of coconut.
