Simple pantry and spice oatmeal cookie recipe - a delicious twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.75 cup vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) while you soak the raisins in hot water.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and spices by sifting. Then mix in rolled oats, sugar, and nuts.
  • Combine eggs, oil, vanilla, raisins, and water in a bowl. Mix well, then add this mixture to the flour mixture, stirring until fully incorporated. Using a rounded spoon, drop the dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 13 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.
