Transform pizza crust into delicious breadsticks for a simple and surprising twist on a classic recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pouches (6.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Pizza Crust Mix
  • 3/4 cup very warm water (120°F to 130°F)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 egg white, slightly beaten
  • Sesame seed, poppy seed or coarse salt
Instructions:
  • Combine pizza crust mix, hot water, oil, and honey in a medium bowl until a smooth dough forms. Lightly brush the top of the dough with vegetable oil, cover, and allow it to rest in a warm place (about 85°F) for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F and generously grease a cookie sheet.
  • Transfer the dough onto a smooth surface and lightly dust with flour if needed. Divide the dough into 24 portions. Roll and shape each portion into a rope about 12 inches long for thin breadsticks or 9 inches long for thick breadsticks. Arrange them about 1 inch apart on a cookie sheet. Cover and allow to rise for 20 minutes.
  • Coat with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for approximately 12 minutes until rich golden brown. Take off baking sheet and serve while warm.
