Flavorful prime rib roast with garlic rub and soy marinade.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped, or more to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried rosemary, or more to taste
  • 1 pinch crushed dried sage
  • 1 pinch finely ground dried thyme
  • 1 (4.5 pound) bone-in prime rib roast
  • 0.25 cup Worcestershire sauce, or more to taste
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine garlic, rosemary, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub the garlic mixture all over the roast. Make a lengthwise cut down the middle of the roast along the bones. Put the roast in a plastic roasting bag. Pour Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce into the bag, focusing on the cut in the roast. Seal the bag and refrigerate the roast to marinate for at least 2 hours, turning occasionally.
  • Take the roast out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours. Discard the marinade, remove the roast from the bag, and place it in a roasting pan with the fat side facing up.
  • Preheat the oven to a high temperature of 500°F (260°C) for optimal cooking results.
  • Preheat the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Lower the heat, continue cooking until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F (65 degrees C), approx. 1 hour. Rest the roast for 20 minutes before slicing.
