Chilled rice pudding infused with warm spices and sweetened to perfection - a delightful breakfast indulgence!
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups uncooked white rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, bring the rice and water to a boil over high heat. Lower the heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Spread the cooked rice on a platter and let it cool in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Combine 2 cups of rice and 1 cup of milk in two microwave-safe bowls. Microwave until hot but not boiling, approximately 5 minutes.
  • In a sealable bag, shake together the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Distribute the spiced mixture evenly over the two bowls of rice and stir well to combine.
