Cheesy sausage-stuffed mushrooms, bursting with flavor and baked to perfection, steal the show at any party.
Ingredients:
  • 24 large mushrooms, stems removed, or more as needed
  • 1 pound bulk hot Italian sausage
  • 4 ounces grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 0.25 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Remove the centers of the mushroom caps while keeping the scrapings.
  • Place a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the sausage, onion, and reserved mushroom scrapings until the sausage is browned and fully cooked, which should take about 4 to 6 minutes. Remove and discard any excess grease, then return the flavorful sausage mixture to the skillet.
  • Combine 3 ounces of Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, garlic, and parsley with the sausage mixture. Cook and stir until heated through, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Fill each mushroom cap generously with the flavorful sausage mixture and arrange them elegantly on a baking sheet.
  • Bake stuffed mushrooms in the preheated oven for 12 minutes. Sprinkle 1 ounce of Parmesan cheese over mushrooms and bake for an additional 3 minutes until mushrooms are cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbling.
