Transform leftover sourdough starter into delicious biscuits with this simple recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sourdough starter
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons cold salted butter
  • 1 cup milk, or more as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C), then generously butter a cast iron pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sourdough starter, baking powder, and salt. Add grated cold butter and mix until fully incorporated. Pour in 1 cup of milk and stir until just combined. Add more milk if needed until the dough is sticky but not overly wet.
  • On a floured surface, gently knead the dough 3 to 4 times and flatten it to a 1- to 2-inch thickness. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out 10 biscuits and place them in the prepared pan.
  • Bake until beautifully golden for around 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
