Tender and juicy salt-marinated chicken breasts steamed to perfection, served with a flavorful garlic soy-sesame sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 5 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 sprigs fresh cilantro
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine chicken and salt, ensuring the salt is evenly rubbed into the chicken. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Add water to a saucepan and place a steamer basket on top. Place chicken in the basket and cover the saucepan. Steam until the chicken is cooked and the juices run clear, approximately 30 minutes.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onion in vegetable oil until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Finish by stirring in soy sauce and sesame oil, then take off the heat.
  • Drizzle sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with fresh cilantro before serving.
