Elevate frozen meatballs with a flavorful Swedish sauce, perfect for topping noodles or rice for a delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper, or more to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed, or more to taste
  • 10 ounces frozen cooked meatballs, thawed
Instructions:
  • Assemble all ingredients.
  • Combine stock, cream, flour, soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon rosemary in a large saucepan and whisk over low heat until smooth.
  • Simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the thawed meatballs to the mixture and cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through. Ensure the meatballs reach a safe internal temperature of at least 160°F (71°C) by using an instant-read thermometer in the center.
  • Savor and fine-tune seasonings to taste before serving.
