Easy Turkey Bean Chili

"Simple and delicious turkey chili made with lean ground turkey, kidney beans, black beans, corn, and tomatoes."
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup chopped onion, or more to taste
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, or more to taste, minced
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce, or to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large nonstick pot over medium-high heat, brown the ground turkey and onion until golden and crumbly for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain grease, then stir in bell pepper and garlic and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Combine kidney beans, black beans, corn, both cans of tomato sauce, diced tomatoes with juice, water, chili powder, salt, and hot pepper sauce in a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
