Decadent Betty Crocker™ fudge brownies with irresistible candied walnuts - a walnut lover's dream!
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar over low heat. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Mix in flour, vanilla, and egg until well combined. Fold in walnuts and set aside.
  • Prepare the brownie batter according to the box instructions. Spread the batter in the pan and evenly spoon the topping over it.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out almost clean. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack. Cut into 8 rows by 4 rows for brownies.
