Quick and easy walnut chocolate cookies with a fudgy brownie-like texture.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1.25 cups margarine, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for cooking.
  • In a large bowl, whisk sugar and margarine together until creamy and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Add this mixture to the creamed mixture and mix until just blended. Stir in walnuts. Drop spoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges are firm but the centers remain soft. Allow them to cool briefly before moving them to wire racks to cool completely.
