Make quick sweet bread in minutes for a delightful treat anytime.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup poppy seed
  • 1 1/4 cups eggnog
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 egg
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously grease the bottom of a 9x5-inch loaf pan or two 8x4-inch loaf pans with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and stir to mix well. Beat with a spoon for 30 seconds until smooth, then pour the batter into the pan(s).
  • Bake your 9-inch loaf for 55 to 65 minutes or your 8-inch loaves for 55 to 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Allow it to cool completely for about 1 hour before slicing. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
