Whip up a delicious BBQ sauce for chicken using ketchup, honey, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.25 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 tablespoons ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Instructions:
  • Prepare the outdoor grill by preheating it to medium-high heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Add onion and garlic; cook until tender, approximately 2 minutes. Mix in ketchup, honey, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; let the sauce thicken slightly by simmering for 1-2 minutes. Take off the heat and allow it to cool for a bit before using.
  • Coat chicken in sauce on both sides; keep extra sauce in skillet. Grill chicken until golden brown on all sides, about 10 to 15 minutes, turning once.
  • Place the chicken back in the flavorful sauce in the skillet and simmer over medium heat until the sauce becomes sticky, approximately 5 minutes on each side. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) by using an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center.
