Holiday green bean casserole: Fresh green beans baked with creamy mushroom sauce, pimentos, and crispy onions for a classic side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (16 ounce) packages frozen cut green beans
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 (4 ounce) jar diced pimento peppers, drained
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (2.8 ounce) can French-fried onions
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, cook green beans in water until tender by bringing to a boil and simmering for about 5 minutes. Drain the beans.
  • Combine condensed soup, milk, pimentos, and black pepper in an 8x8-inch baking dish. Add green beans and finish with a sprinkle of French-fried onions.
  • Bake uncovered in the preheated oven until the center is hot and bubbly, for about 30 to 40 minutes.
