Create a flavorful steak rub with a unique spice blend that pairs perfectly with flat iron or flank steak.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 pounds flat iron steaks
Instructions:
  • Combine paprika, salt, sugar, chili powder, chipotle powder, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cumin in a small bowl, mix well. Coat flat iron steaks with the seasoning blend, wrap tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 2 to 8 hours for optimal flavor.
  • Prepare your outdoor grill by preheating it to medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
  • Grill the steaks to your liking, about 4 minutes per side for medium rare. Let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
