Elevate Halloween with Frankenstein brownie pops - a deliciously spooky treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (1 lb 2.3 oz) fudge brownie mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
  • 18 craft sticks (flat wooden sticks with round ends)
  • 2 bags (10 oz each) spooky green candy melts or coating wafers
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 36 Betty Crocker™ Candy Shop candy eyeballs (from 0.88-oz package)
  • 36 licorice bites
  • 1 tube (4.25 oz) purple decorating icing
  • 1 tube (4.25 oz) black decorating icing
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 13x9-inch pan with foil, leaving a 1-inch overhang on two opposite sides. Give foil a quick spray with cooking spray. 2. Prepare the brownie mix as per the instructions on the box using water, oil, and eggs. Bake according to the package directions. 3. Allow the brownies to cool completely for about 1 hour. 4. Refrigerate for 1 hour or freeze for 30 minutes for easier handling. 5. Use the foil overhang to lift the brownies out of the pan and cut into 6 rows by 3 rows. 6. Insert a craft stick halfway into one end of each brownie for a fun treat.
  • Prepare a baking sheet with waxed paper. Microwave the candy melts in a medium microwavable bowl on High for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth. Mix in the oil until well combined. Dip the flat back side of each brownie pop in the candy coating, placing them upside down on the prepared sheet. Chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes or until the coating sets.
  • Cover the remaining sides of the brownie completely with candy coating using a spoon, allowing any excess to drip off. Use a knife to smooth the coating, then promptly stick on the candy eyeballs. Add one piece of licorice on opposite sides of each brownie pop to resemble neck bolts. Refrigerate until the coating is set.
  • Use a small plain tip to pipe purple icing on the pops, creating a hair-like texture. Then, pipe black icing to create scars and a mouth. Allow the icing to set.
