Grown-up crowd-pleasing pigs in a blanket: sausages wrapped in flaky puff pastry. Perfect for parties!
Ingredients:
  • 3 sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
  • 250.00 ml grated tasty cheese
  • 24 cocktail frankfurts
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Tomato sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 220C/200C fan-forced and line a large baking tray with baking paper.
  • Slice each pastry sheet into 8 strips measuring 3cm wide, gently layering a sprinkle of cheese on top of each strip.
  • Skewer each frankfurt and wrap a pastry strip around it, cheese side in, overlapping as you go. Place them seam side down on a tray. Brush with egg, sprinkle with a little cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake until the pastry is golden and puffed, 12 to 15 minutes (refer to notes), then serve with tomato sauce.
