French onion dip cheese log recipe

Wow the crowd with this fan-favorite party dish.
Ingredients:
  • 250g cream cheese
  • 82.50 ml finely grated tasty cheese
  • 20.00 ml French onion soup mix
  • 82.50 ml finely chopped fresh chives
  • 12 biscuits, finely crushed,
  • 23.40 gm wholegrain mustard
  • Crackers, to serve
Instructions:
  • In an electric mixer, whip cream cheese until velvety. Add flavorful cheese and soup mix. Season to taste. Beat until well blended.
  • Place the mixture onto a 25cm-long baking paper, shaping it into a 15cm-long log. Roll up tightly from one long side, twisting the ends of the paper to secure. Refrigerate for 2 hours to slightly firm up.
  • Mix together the chives and crushed biscuit in a bowl. Spread the mixture onto a plate. Unwrap the log from the paper and brush it with mustard. Roll the log in the chive mixture until completely coated, including the ends. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until it becomes firm.
  • Take the log out of the fridge and let it sit for 10 minutes before enjoying it with crackers.
