Create a tasty and creamy potato bake using French onion soup mix, sour cream, and frozen potato gems - a genius dinner shortcut! Includes air fryer option for extra crispiness.
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan forced. Arrange the potato gems in a single layer on a baking tray and bake until golden, about 20 minutes. Alternatively, air fry the gems at 180C for 10 minutes in the air fryer.
  • In a jug, mix the milk and soup mix together. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until foamy. Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes until bubbling. Remove from heat, then slowly whisk in the milk mixture and sour cream. Return to medium heat and cook for 3 minutes until thickened. Pour over the base of a 18 x 28cm baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the cheese over the sauce, top with potato gems, and bake for 15 minutes until the cheese has melted. Serve sprinkled with chives.
