Moist nut cake that stays fresh and freezes easily. Top with Cream Cheese Frosting, Whipped Cream, or White Buttercream.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups chopped apples
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch pan by greasing and flouring it. In a medium bowl, combine sugar and apples, then set aside. Next, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Combine oil, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix in apples and sugar until well combined. Add dry ingredients, followed by nuts. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the cake is springy to the touch.
