"Fall's perfect treat: Moist, spiced apple walnut cake brimming with chunks of fresh apples."
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 3 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1.25 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch pan. In a bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, toss together apples and white sugar; leave it aside. Blend brown sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla until fully mixed. Gently fold in the apple mixture, followed by the flour mixture. Finally, add walnuts and fold them in.
  • Transfer the batter into the pan and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool before serving.
