Heart-healthy Omega-3 pasta with high protein and low saturated fat.
Ingredients:
  • 400g fusilli (or other short pasta)
  • 27.30 gm olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 2 long red chillies, seeds removed, finely chopped
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 500g sashimi-grade tuna, cut into 1.5cm cubes
  • 125.00 ml basil leaves, plus extra to garnish
Instructions:
  • Boil the pasta in a large saucepan of salted water following the package directions. Save 1/3 cup (80ml) of pasta water. Put the pasta back in the pan to keep it warm.
  • In a frypan over low heat, warm the oil. Sauté the garlic for 1-2 minutes until softened. Mix in the chilli, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Add the tuna and quickly sear. Enjoy!
  • Combine the tuna mixture with the pasta, lemon juice, basil leaves, and reserved cooking water, tossing well to mix.
  • Divide the dish into bowls and serve promptly with an extra sprinkle of basil on top.
