Ingredients:
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large head cabbage, cored and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
  • Assemble all the ingredients.
  • Cook the bacon in a large stockpot over medium-high heat until it is crispy, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Cook the onion and garlic together until the onion caramelizes, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the cabbage and stir consistently for another 10 minutes.
  • Season generously with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Lower the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer gently for another 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
