Crispy bacon, sauteed cabbage, onions, and garlic make a delicious and popular family dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (1 pound) package bacon, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 pounds diced cabbage
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon, stirring occasionally, until it's browned and crispy, for about 7 to 10 minutes. Once done, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and remove most of the bacon grease from the skillet.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in cabbage, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until cabbage is tender, 10-15 minutes. For a softer texture, cover the skillet while cooking to create steam.
  • Crumble crispy bacon into the skillet and toss with the cabbage until fully incorporated.
