Delicious fried rice with fluffy white rice, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, savory soy sauce, sweet green peas, and fresh green onions.
Ingredients:
  • 1.3333333730698 cups uncooked white rice
  • 1.6666669845581 cups water
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 teaspoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 0.25 pound bacon, cut into strips
  • 0.125 cup soy sauce
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas, thawed
  • 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions:
  • Bring water to a boil in a saucepan, then add rice and stir. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes. While the rice is cooking, season eggs with salt and pepper.
  • In a small frying pan, heat 1 teaspoon of oil. Add the eggs and spread them evenly across the pan. Cook for about 3 minutes until set. Flip the eggs and cook for another minute. Transfer the cooked eggs to a cool surface, let them cool, then slice thinly. Set aside.
  • In a spacious deep skillet, fry the bacon over medium-high heat until perfectly crispy. Drain, crumble, and set aside for later use.
  • Add the remaining 2 teaspoons of oil to the skillet along with the bacon fat. Incorporate the cooked rice, making sure to separate any clumps and evenly coat with oil. Mix in the bacon, soy sauce, peas, eggs, and green onions. Stir and cook everything together until heated through, which should take about 3 minutes.
