Fruit and Nut Cereal Bars

No-bake stovetop fruity whole grain bars.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups Total® Cranberry Crunch cereal
  • 1 cup diced dried mixed fruit or dried fruit and raisin mixture (from 7- or 8-oz bag)
  • 1/2 cup roasted unsalted sunflower nuts
  • 1/2 cup dry-roasted peanuts
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 9-inch square pan by spraying it with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine cereal, dried fruit, sunflower nuts, and peanuts.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, bring brown sugar, corn syrup, and peanut butter to a boil over medium-high heat while stirring constantly. Let it boil and stir for 1 minute. Then, take it off the heat and mix in the vanilla.
  • Drizzle syrup over the snack mix and toss until well coated. Press the mixture firmly into the pan and let it cool completely for about 30 minutes. To make bars, cut the mixture into 6 rows by 4 rows.
