Impressive cheese and bacon pull-apart loaf for stress-free hosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1 x 500g pane di casa loaf
  • 75g butter, melted
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 20.00 ml finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 125g bacon, finely chopped
  • 100g cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 250.00 ml grated cheddar
  • 250.00 ml grated mozzarella
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200C or 180C fan-forced, then line a baking tray with foil.
  • With a serrated knife, gently score the bread in a criss-cross pattern (about 3-4cm wide), being careful not to cut all the way through. Mix together butter, garlic, and parsley in a small bowl. Fill the bread crevices with the flavored butter mixture.
  • In a large bowl, mix together bacon, cream cheese, cheddar, and mozzarella. Season with pepper, then stuff the mixture into the bread cracks. Cover loosely with foil and bake until cheese is melted, about 15 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking until bread is crisp and cheese is golden. Serve immediately.
