Irresistible buttery garlic bread sausage rolls - a must-try snack!
Ingredients:
  • 500g sausage mince
  • 250g pork or beef mince
  • 1/2 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 25g (1/2 cup) panko breadcrumbs
  • 41.60 gm tomato sauce
  • 24.40 gm Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 sheets frozen puff pastry, just thawed
  • 80g butter, melted
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 40.00 ml coarsely chopped fresh continental parsley leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan forced and lightly grease 2 large baking trays. In a large bowl, mix both minces, onion, breadcrumbs, tomato sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Season well, then use clean hands to combine everything thoroughly. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions.
  • Lay a sheet of pastry on a clean surface and slice it in half. Spread half of the filling along one long edge of the halved pastry sheet, leaving a 3cm border. Roll it up and place it on one of the prepared trays with the seam side facing down.
  • Prepare the rest of the pastry and filling to create 6 long rolls, arranging them evenly on the trays. Then, use a small sharp knife to score each roll into 8 portions, cutting deeply but not all the way through.
  • In a bowl, mix butter, garlic, and parsley. Spread some of the mixture into each cut of the rolls, gently pulling them apart. Brush the rest of the butter mixture over the rolls. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Serve portions separately while still warm.
