Delicious vegetarian snack with haloumi, mozzarella, and silverbeet cooked effortlessly in a Kmart appliance.
Ingredients:
  • 18.20 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1000.00 ml shredded fresh silverbeet leaves
  • 180g pkt haloumi, coarsely grated
  • 80g (1 cup) shredded mozzarella
  • 40.00 ml chopped fresh continental parsley
  • 2 pieces mountain bread
  • Tzatziki, to serve
  • Fresh mint leaves, to serve (optional)
Instructions:
  • In a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat, sizzle the garlic in oil for 1 minute until fragrant. Toss in the silverbeet and cook for 5 minutes until just wilted. Transfer to a bowl.
  • Combine haloumi, mozzarella, and parsley in the bowl, stirring well.
  • Quarter the bread. Swiftly spread half of the silverbeet mixture onto the bottom edges of four bread quarters. Fold the edges and roll up tightly. Put the rolls, seam side down, in the sausage roll maker, then spray with oil. Close and cook for 10 minutes until golden, flipping halfway through. Keep warm by covering with foil on a plate. Repeat with the rest of the bread and mixture.
  • Top the gozleme with a dollop of tzatziki and sprinkle with fresh mint leaves for added flavor, if preferred.
