Grilled New York strip steaks with savory olive oil-roasted garlic.
Ingredients:
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper
  • 2 (12 ounce) New York strip steaks
  • 12 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 cup olive oil for frying
  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1.5 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Instructions:
  • Combine minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a bowl before transferring to a resealable plastic bag. Add the steaks, ensuring they are fully coated with the marinade. Remove excess air, seal the bag, and marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
  • In a small saucepan, infuse 12 garlic cloves in 1 cup of olive oil over low heat until the garlic is golden and tender, about 30 minutes. Set aside.
  • Preheat a sizzling outdoor grill, lightly oil the grate. Take the steaks out of the bag, pat them dry to remove excess marinade. Season the steaks generously with salt and black pepper.
  • Grill the steaks until they are medium-rare and juicy, about 5 minutes per side or until an instant-read thermometer reads 130°F (54°C) when inserted into the center. Rest the steaks on a plate for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Pour a generous amount of balsamic vinegar over the steaks, then top them with a few oil-roasted garlic cloves.
