Savory garlic edamame cooked with sweet teriyaki-sesame sauce for a quick, delicious appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen edamame in the pod
  • 0.25 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over high heat, watch the water and garlic dance to a boil. Add edamame and cook until they're heated through and the liquid is almost gone, around 5 minutes.
  • Lower the heat to medium-high and combine teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens and coats the edamame, approximately 4 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
