Spicy garlic-lime pork chops perfect for tacos or a flavorful main dish. Quick and easy for any weeknight meal.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder, divided
  • 0.125 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.125 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1.5 pounds pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
Instructions:
  • Combine salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder in a bowl, then generously sprinkle the spice mixture on both sides of the pork chops.
  • In a large, heavy skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Sear pork chops until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side. Check doneness with an instant-read thermometer - it should register 145°F (63°C). Place the cooked pork chops on a serving plate and keep the flavorful juices in the skillet.
  • Mix lime juice and the rest of the garlic powder in the skillet with the leftover juices. Stir well and drizzle over the pork chops.
