Juicy, tender gas-grilled turkey with crispy skin, saving oven space for sides.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 pound) whole turkey, neck and giblets removed
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups cold butter, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons seasoned salt (such as LAWRY'S®)
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cubes chicken bouillon granules
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your ingredients.
  • Preheat your outdoor grill to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and lay the turkey in a roasting pan, making sure the breast is facing upwards.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add butter, seasoned salt, pepper, and bouillon cubes, stirring until the butter melts and the bouillon dissolves.
  • Suck up 30 milliliters of liquid into a marinade injector and spread all over the turkey. Then, pour the rest of the liquid into the roasting pan and cover with aluminum foil.
  • Grill the dish, brushing with sauce every half hour, until fully cooked and the juices run clear, approximately 3 1/2 hours. Check for doneness by ensuring the thigh reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) with an instant-read thermometer.
  • Take the grilled turkey off the heat, cover it, and allow it to rest in a cozy spot for 10 to 15 minutes before cutting into it.
