Creamy leek and potato soup infused with savory ham, perfectly pureed for a luxurious texture.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped leeks
  • 8 potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 6 cups water
  • 0.5 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1 ham bone
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Cook onions in butter until translucent in a large pot over medium heat. Add leeks, potatoes, water, thyme, and the ham bone. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered until potatoes are tender, 20 to 30 minutes.
  • After discarding the ham bone, blend the soup until smooth using a blender or food processor. Transfer the pureed soup back to the pot, mix in cream, salt, and pepper, heat it up, and savor your delicious creation.
