Effortlessly create a flavorful Ginger-Hoisin Chicken dish with plenty of veggies for a quick Thursday night meal!
Ingredients:
  • 67.50 gm hoisin sauce
  • 42.00 gm soy sauce
  • 40.00 ml Chinese rice wine
  • 2 tsp freshly-grated ginger
  • 600g chicken thigh fillets, trimmed olive oil cooking spray
  • 200g dried egg noodles
  • 200g snow peas, trimmed, thinly sliced diagonally
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 12.00 gm toasted sesame seeds, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a jug, mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine, and ginger. Place chicken in a shallow glass or ceramic dish and pour half of the sauce over it. Coat the chicken with the sauce, cover, and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  • Prepare the barbecue plate or chargrill by lightly spraying it with oil and heating it over high heat. Cook the chicken for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until it is golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the chicken to a plate, cover, and let it rest for 5 minutes before thinly slicing.
  • While the noodles are cooking according to the package instructions, toss in the snow peas for the last 30 seconds of cooking. Drain the noodles and snow peas, transfer them to a large bowl, and mix in the green onions and the remaining sauce. Toss everything together until well combined.
  • Cover the noodle mixture with the seasoned chicken, generously sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds, and elegantly present to enjoy.
